The changer axle mount looks like an Emmons p/p not a Sho~Bud. Are my eyes deceiving me? Also, the signature does look alot like the Big E's handwriting. Maybe Buddy can shed some light on this anomally of a guitar. It'll be interesting to see what the bids climb to if everything turns out to be authentic.

The tuner head looks like the smaller super pro heads used on the later sho-buds.
The changer is a triple raise - triple lower which is not stock... The knee levers look to be the stock super pro style. Looks like a super pro era bud with a non sho bud changer... |

| My guess... The guitar was built by someone who idolized Buddy and cobbed together parts from ShoBud and Emmons sources. Such a fan would at first opportunity have brought it to a gig Buddy was playing at and gotten Buddy to sign it for him. There are too many questionable aspects about this guitar for me to believe it is real without corroboration from Buddy. Will the Real Big E please stand up and fill us in?! |

I have a Buddy Emmons signature from a show back in the 80's, that does not look quite like his writing to me. Anyone that would like to see that signature, let me know, I will scan it.
