I have the pain to inform you of the death of my dear wife Annick NICKIE Gabelout on June 27th.
I kept quiet about his illness ...
I warmly thank all the members who have made it known on the SGF since the years 2015, often by sometimes very appreciative comments, which surprised us coming from the "Country of the steel guitar" and Jerry Byrd who was his idol since his younger years of beginners on the Hawaiian guitar in 1955/56 ... |

This is so sad to hear, Jacques. Nickie had such a nice presence in this forum, and you to take us there. Her playing is still a memory, some of the most beautiful. _________________ Those that say don't know; those that know don't say.--Buddy Emmons |

I'm so sorry to hear this, Jacques. Thank you for sharing some of the beautiful music you two made together. I hope you don't mind me linking to one of my favorites that shows Nickie playing a beautiful instrumental while the rain beats against the glass. She was certainly a treasure. May she Rest in Peace.

I am just reading this now. Oh Jacques, I am SO sorry. You and Nicky were so close for so many years and made such beautiful music. My thoughts, sympathies, and prayers go out to you and your family in this difficult time.
Take good care. _________________ www.susanalcorn.net

"CLIN D'OEIL", one of our flute and guitar duets played for a long time live for Roger Huet's 3D projections "Music and Relief" has never been recorded ...alas, you now know the reason ...
Otherwise, here it is below, reconstituted on Muse Core: https://nickiejacques.blogspot.com/2018/06/roger-huet.html
you will notice the variant C 'tablature 8 STRINGS E6, we proposed it for trio flute, PSG and guitar ..

Bien amicalement JG |

Jacques, today I've been thinking about Nickie and also you and Nickie. The song you two did together is absolutely gorgeous, and I hope that I have the opportunity to record it.

Here is an excerpt from a precious and moving message recently received: "I have been listening to these notes repeatedly like drops of rain for almost an hour.
It is the instrument but above all the worked fingering which it has, it is a pure wonder, which strangely transmits a feeling and invites to reverie, not being the automatism of a mechanical ...
I missed my meeting with an exceptional musician!
