Here's a super clean example of a post-war (1948?) Bakelite Rickenbacher lap steel. Everything looks to be completely original, except for the plastic tuner buttons and the fret markers, which I simply filled in with nail polish. With only minor scuffs and light scratches, this guitar is in remarkable shape for being 70-some years old. The case is a little worn out, but serves its purpose well.
