Can I just use the C6 tempered tuning program on my Strobo Flip to tune B6 universal tuning?

George, the offsets on the Strobo are applied to the specific notes of the C6 tuning.
I think your tuner has a U12 sweetener in it. If not, I’m sure it can be downloaded off Peterson’s website.

The Stroboflip doesn't support downloading sweetners and installing them.

I used Jeff Newman's temper tuning, then tweaked it for my guitar. I used a Korg WT-10A to find the frequencies, then programmed the tempers into my Sonic Research ST 200. I made sure my B pedal A's were at 440 in the tweaking process to be in tune with a piano. Long process, but accurate.

I played a universal for many years and used Jeff's tempered tuning. I still have it and will just use it. Universal strings on the way. Can't wait to be able to play on the same frets I'm used to on E9. I have figured out how to quickly know the keys on the frets on the B6, I just move back two frets from the pedals down on the E9 neck. For example, if I want to know where E is at, no pedals on the B6, I think E9 on the 7th fret, pedals down. E on B6, no pedals is two frets back on the 5th fret.

Also, your 11th string (E) is also the root to many chord positions. Example: Night Life intro at the 8th fret (key of C) with the Eb lever engaged.

I suppose you could also use the capo/tune-down mode.

OK, I've really showed how dumb I am, but I don't feel so bad since nobody has called me on it. There is not a universal tempered tuning, duh. I should have known this. I played and tuned a universal for 10 years. A universal is a normal 10 string E9 with two extra low strings added on the bottom end. These two strings are the ONLY ones that make it different than an E9th. So my question should have been what are the tempered tuning for the 2 extra low strings. All the others are standard E9th and are tuned as such. Oh, well, we all do things stupid every once in a while and need humbling from time to time.

Where I got confused is I put a set of universal strings on my C6 neck and tuned them to normal universal B6. Thinking everything was then 1/2 flat from C6, I thought if I used the C6 tempered tuning it would be off. Thinking C6 instead of E9.

I should have done this year's ago. Only playing basic C6 on occasional blues and rockabilly, I am really enjoying playing on both necks on the same fret positions. Not only that, I don't have to change my Strobo Flip from E9 to C6 when tuning and should I get in a dire situation with a string breaking on E9, I can steal one from the back neck.

I don't want to over think this, but....since I have a dedicated B6 neck, then there should be a tempered tuning for it, separate from the E9th. My 1st string is tuned to C# instead of D like on a C6th. Also, what would be my E9th. 9th string D is also tuned to C#. Because this is an odd ball tuning I am sure a temper tuning chart doesn't exist., I am going to have to try C6th and E9th temper tuning and see which my ears like better, then make any adjustments by ear, which I do anyway with normal tempered tuning.
