somewhere south of memphis at a crossroad country store, the greyhound bus pulls over and opens up the door. Her red dress was faded and shoes torn at the seams
I heard her tell the driver she was goin to new Orleans. She sat down across the isle, I spoke and she tried to smile. When the words finally came they came as cold as Ice
You choke in the dust you burn in the sun, hard times won't leave you alone, no matter how you sweat and you hurt, it's all the same to that delta dirt
Then today our world came tumblin to the ground, this mornin they sold us out at the court house in town.

There was more Frank, but sadly Billy took it off. What he wrote, I think it was very good. Please continue! _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

It’s not Laura Botsford and it’s not Larry Gatlin.
Is it Billy Henderson? |
