MY shelf is made. With 1/8 th thick aluminum angle with Formica glued to aluminum
Weighs 4 pound.
I like just a wrist pad only a full pad would be cool also.

I’ll get some 10/32 wing nuts or 10 /32 plastic knobs for fast install.

If you want to make one you need a piece of aluminum angle like this.

Once again you made a slick looking useful product. It looks fantastic and appears like an original componet. Great work Johnny. Thanks for the pictures and dimensions. |

How did you attach it? Did you drill holes in your guitar? |

That looks good.
I’m really impressed with the simple to mount Zum Encore pad. I installed mine with a a drilling template that Doug provided.

Here is my Sierra's removable Pad. The second picture is before I had the aluminum anodized, to be the copper color.

Yes on drilled two hole for 10/32 screw an wing nut.
Next thing is to mount the knee leavers out side the body under the apron to make her comfortable to use knees. S10 steels kneels are too far under apron for me to use comfortably. |

Here is the 3rd one I have added to steels I have owned. The first was on a S10 MSA, With that long 12 string key head I cut out a big enough place for my Do-Bro bar and steel bar. The next was a GFI 12 string with key head, Just had room for bar and picks.
This picture is of my new GFI 12U, With its keyless head I just had enough room to cut out a groove to hold my 12 string bar only. I added a raised section for my right wrist on this one. All 3 of my pads are attached with Velcro so they are easily removed to put the guitar in it case.
On the last 2 I have added a clip on the right end of the pad I that holds my tuner also very handy too. |
