Selling this beauty, as I have a big car mechanic bill coming, and something has to go. This is the rarest of all the Sigma models made for Martin Guitars. Features wise its like a D35 met a D41 and had a kid. Its a killer and I mean killer sounding and playing guitar. Its been my fave acoustic from the many I have owned, and most have been high dollar. This was the keeper. Made in 78, with no issues at all. For being 41 years old its in excellent condition. It also has a killer bigger neck, great set up.
Here are the spec from a Signa collectors site, and what the collectors say about it.
Sigma DR-11 Dreadnought body,Solid spruce top. Laminated rosewood sides and 3-piece back, ala' D35. White/pearl binding on body (w/p/w/p/w.) Rosewood overlay on 1st generation "Spatula" headstock (Sigma w/Σ logo.)This is also the only known model where the entire logo not just the sigma symbol, is done in mother of pearl on the 72 's only. Head-stock and fret-board are single-bound in white. Mother of pearl trim throughout ala' Martin D-41. Adjustable truss rod through sound hole, not the peg-head like the lower end models. Rosewood fingerboard. Non-adjustable Rosewood Bridge. Mother of pearl Hexagon & heptagon inlay position markers on fingerboard. Gold plated closed back tuners (ratio 12:1.) High gloss lacquer finish. This model was considered the top of the line Sigma by Martin, it had features from several of Martin's top end domestic guitars, but Martin never made one exactly like it, in the states, it is unique to the Sigma line, and possibly the rarest.
$795.00 Shipped in a new heavy duty Gator Gig Bag.
Whoever buys this will not be disappointed. Its that good!

Lots of interest on this killer guitar, but still around for now. Someone grab it before I change my mind, and sell something else to cover the mechanic bill. This guitar is a great acoustic, that sounds and plays better than most guitars at 3x the price or more.
