Bucky Pizzarelli and his son, John (famous jazz guitarists) came out with two weird (in that world) albums.
First time I heard about them was when Paul Franklin was interviewing Tommy White. Tommy White is playing (amazing) steel, and Monty Alexander is playing piano (another hero of mine). Like a jazz record, the solos are really long, and sometimes there are two rides in a song.
The first album is called Diggin Up Bones. The second is called Back in the Saddle again. Monty plays more on back in the saddle.
Here’s a playlist containing both records.

I love the long steel ride on this one starting at 0:20, and again(!) at 3:30

Homemade buffer/overdrive with adjustable 700Hz "Fender" scoop., Moyo pedal, GT-001 effects, 2x TDA7294 80W class AB amps, or 2x BAM200 for stereo. TT12 and BW1501 each in its own closed back wedge. Also NV400 etc. etc... |
