Got what I think was a good deal on a used Peavey Powerslide last night. The bag is torn up but the power slide itself is in great condition (although for some reason the strap buttons weren't installed/included).

I've always thought it looked weird, the design aesthetics never spoke to me, but I gotta say it IS comfortable to play...as weird as it looks.

Cool stand-up/lap steel. Lots of praise for the pickups.

I remember Melobar had some stand-up steels.

I hope you get a lot of pleasure out of that instrument.

I bought one of those a couple months ago
Same color. Kind of dinged up bit plays and sounds great. My first lap steel. I bought it to use at church because my dobro would feed back all the time.
Using the strap doesn't work for me. I use it as a lap steel tuned GBDgbd. I paid $180 for mine. I've heard of people getting them for much less.

The store I bought mine from had two used for $199. One had a perfect paint job but didn't sound as good as the dinged up one I bought. Talked them down to $180 because of the dings and dents.

I'd be happy to sell you my strapp and buttons if you want. I don't use them.

Nice guitar. Love the wider string spacing and the humbucker sounds great.

I had one. The fret board markings were taped on which was ok but the intonation was so far off. Unplayable. But the tone and sound was good.

Peavey discovered and fixed the intonation problem. Most players just moved the nut to the proper place and problem was resolved. Chinese QC was not that good. Mine was fine when I bought it. Plays spot on.
