What is your opinion on a (3/2 all pull changer) 8/5 Desert Rose D10 pedal steel guitar,George L pickups ? Playing (feel), tone, mechanics and reliability (staying in tune)?
Desert Rose built by Chuck Back... guitar is made of gorgeous tiger maple with beautiful pearl inlays...
Guitar has great sounding George L pick ups, and has a tone for days... mechanism is great, and guitar plays like a butter, soft
Pedals with quick and precise action, and rock solid stops... if you are fan of a great Gary Morse, and his playing and tone, _________________ I have played guitar for over 60 years, PSG for 5 & bass for 7 years. Currently, I play bass in a band. I also collect guitars and basses. I live in Florida on the east coast. In my picture is a 1948 Gibson Grande of mine that was used in a Hank Williams movie. |

I played all of my gigs on a Desert Rose for about 7 years. It's an excellent guitar! The pedal action is smooth and positive, and the mechanism is trouble-free. No tuning problems at all. I recommend them highly. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Thank you Bob, I am new to Pedal Steel and this is my First PSG. So I was Looking for trouble free mechanics. I play and Luthier guitars and basses and Even a Bass with only 4 strings and 4 tuners can be mechanically challenging for me. Here is a pic of my 1947 Gibson Console Grande. Thank you for the info, Ken.

I love my Desert Rose! I have a S10 with the half pad rest,3x5. It's always in tune, light weight, sounds fantastic with the George L Eon pickup. It plays very smooth,it never breaks strings and it's gorgeous! You will be happy with it I'm sure. |

Thank you Joe. You Desert Rose is beautiful. With the research I did, I thought the DR was very reliable and played well. I also thought t was a very good looking guitar. _________________ I have played guitar for over 60 years, PSG for 5 & bass for 7 years. Currently, I play bass in a band.
