But they are lying when they say they are exactly the same as the originals. Ask the guys who had to cut bits out of the tuner pan cavity to make 'em fit.
This is how close a fit they were in one guy's 1955 Stringmaster (sorry, can't remember who)...
Even the guy who tested the prototypes told them they fitted into one of his guitars but not another but they just went ahead.
Unless they have made a modification in the last 2 years that I am unaware of. If someone knows for sure, please let me know. |

I had a bent tuner on my Fender T8. I almost bought a set until I saw the post where they are 1/16" wider, x2 sides = 1/8th total. I ended up fixing the tuner myself. The tolerances on the Fender tuner pans is very precise. |
