Just spent the past weekend at the North of England Steel Guitar Festival and really enjoyed myself. More so as I had taken my recently aquired Remington Stringmaster. It really is a beautiful guitar. Here is me giving it a run for it's money.

Nicely done, Mick!! Looked like you were sweating there for a moment. Smile
You're reminding me that I've got to stop being so lazy about my picking hand.
Your Remington sounds great, even on my computer speakers. What amp were you using?
cheers

Thanks for that. The amp was a Roland Cube 80 on the JC clean sound.

You make me want to toss my D10.

You sure don't need pedal.

Love all your videos that I just found on YouTube

I can't thank you enough Bill for those comments and it makes me feel very humble bearing in mind you have played with them all.

I have to give you credit for my playing as it comes mainly from the videos that you have put up over the years. You may remember my version of Choo Choo Chaboogie that I stole from Jeff Newmans vid. I tour through those videos looking for ideas and licks as I don't have any teaching books and they are a great help. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for that Mike. The guitar is certainly different to the National and I still have to tame it.

Thanks Joe. I play a little pedal steel but I am never happy with my playing, so when I discovered lap steel and Billy Robinson I tried some of that and it seems to work better for me. I am influenced by everything I hear steel wise whether it be pedal steel or lap steel and will try anything.

I mentioned Steelpicker and his videos which are a great source of ideas and I am blasted by all the experts. Here is one I stole from Herby Wallace. I just loved the moves so tried it on lap steel. C6 as always.
