two months went by pretty fast, and today we are on our way back to Nashville... our trip started great as always , Lufthansa decided they will charge us €74 extra for one 15kg check in piece of luggage ... that had never happened before , we always had one check in piece of luggage free ... we’ll, what do you know, not anymore .... I tried to find a contact for Lufthansa to see why are they charging us, and this is Lufthansa customer service “Contact Us” page ... there is no email, phone number , chat option or nothing, only way to contact Lufthansa through their “Contact Us” page is to write them a letter .... no joke.... maybe I should try sending a pigeon with a message ... it used to be a decent company to fly with, it seems they’re now just as shitty as most other airlines ... this is just to let you know that you may get stuck with paying hundreds of dollars you don’t have, and that’s right at the airport where you don’t have pretty much any other options but to pay.... robbery at its best ....rather fly United or Delta would be my suggestion...

I see there is a button to click for their Privacy Statement. It probably starts off with "We value our privacy; therefore, we will make it as difficult..."

United 3 hour waiting time customer service line at Washington airport ...

Yes they used to be decent. I missed two flights one was 16 years ago in London, I went to the man at the counter and he told me to board the next plane, without any charge.
Years later, it was in Frankfurt, I had to pay the full price.
Times change and mostly not for the better.

Damir most airlines go for this practice now, your ticket is only for you and a small piece of “ cabin baggage” they nearly all charge for hold baggage, in fact some are now charging to take the cabin baggage on. Some are worse than others, last time I took my steel on Ryanair ( probably the UK and Europes biggest rip off airline) from Glasgow to Dublin it cost me more for the steel than it did for my ticket. The so called low cost carriers money making charges have now been copied by most of the worlds major carriers. The days of good customer service have long since gone, it is all about getting as much out of you as possible.

At one point Ryanair were looking at charging to use toilet on board, think they rapidly changed mind when a lot of people suggested they would just pee carpet where they were sitting. Shocked
