Electro (Rickenbacker) M8 lapsteel amp

Wondering how many of you lap steel folks have had an M8 5watt tube amp over the years? Rickenbacker made them, but for some reason they had an "electro" model for lap steels. That's what I have. One 12ax7 and a 6v6 with a 5y3 rectifer. I found one online and like its mildly overdriven sound for non pedal. The original 8" Jensen speaker has a slight, annoying rattle as the note decays. I just ordered an 8" replacement Jensen from antique electronic supply. Anybody else have one?
