I'm going to be seeing a guy I know, who has a Super Pro, and he has an issue with the LKL, E-raise. The issue is he's tall, wears cowboy boots when he plays and cannot use that lever at all because it's too far to the right and basically is positioned in the middle of his knee, and not beside it. I don't have the guitar in front of me, or even actually remember exactly what it looks like underneath.
Any advice on how to adjust, or move the lever, to the left?? Thanks. I'll be going out to his house in a day or two. I'd love to show him some of the magic of the E-raise! Haha. _________________ RICK ABBOTT

Very unfortunately, unless I'm mistaken, I don't believe that lever is connected to the bellcrank via a ball & socket connecting rod. If it were, then moving just the lever and changing the length of the connecting rod (possibly replacing the rod) would be an option.
I think the lever is directly engaged with the crank and the cross shaft and very likely there is little real estate available for moving the whole shebang. This leaves angle adjustment of the lever itself and possibly moving the lever stop a lot and compensating with the nylon tuners as your only relatively easy options. |

Check the knee lever close, Is it connected direct to the cross rod? If the lever is, Look under the guitar and see if there is another set of cross rod holes that the lever and cross rod could be moved a hole or two to the left. If moving the cross rod would put the lever in the right place. You will need longer pull rods. Look under the guitar you may be able to trade rods to get the length or have to make longer rods.
My first guess without photos. The guitar was ordered original with Day system and someone changed it to Emmons/Nashville system and now the lever location problem arose. |

If it's directly connected to the cross shaft , which I believe it is. just grab a few parts from Michael Yahl , add another short cross shaft for the lever and an additional Bell Crank, move it left, then connect it to the original cross shaft Bell crank with a short rod. This is very typical on many Steels. Or maybe just move the entire cross shaft for the F lever, but you will need to longer rods for teh 4 and 8. personally, I would add an additional shorter cross shaft to mount the lever, then connect with a short rod.

Lots of food for thought! Thanks for all these replies. I'm going to look at it and ask the guy what he wants to do. I know he wants that lever working for him. _________________ RICK ABBOTT
