What does a Nashville 112 sound like with a 15" speaker? Who's done the box swap out there?? _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

probably not much different, what 15 would you use ? 15's are mysteriously thought to have a much better lo end profile, some may and many do not. The cone size doesn't determine this, other factors do, voice coil wire, voice coil size etc., I use a mid grade 150 watt rated Eminence 15 in a small ext cab, quite frankly it's pretty darn bright .
TriaL and error along with the internet said it would sound better ! _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,

Not 100% certain, but I believe that a member had a post some time ago concerning a 15" cab that he built to house his 112. My guess is that (with a Black Widow 1501-4 speaker installed)it would sound much like a lower powered Nashville 400. |

Be hard for me to believe that it sounds like a lower-powered 400.I've played the sessions and the Nashville's and everything else my whole life and this 112 still surprises me every time I play it for a being 80 Watts. volume settings nearly identical to the 210 watts in a 400. They are very efficient. I don't know if I would like a 15 in it or hate it. _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

unhook the 12 and run an ext 15 in speaker and it will give you an idea. I built a cabinet and installed an older model Eminence (lightweight ) speaker and it is deeper sounding. I will not say it sounds like a NV400 but the 80 watts carries it fine. I have played some outside venues with it. I really like it.

Wouldn’t that be a Nashville 1000? _________________ Clinesmith consoles D-8/6 5 pedal, D-8 3 pedal & A25 Frypan, Pettingill Teardrop, & P8 Deluxe. |

1000 is 300 watts I think, and digital. The 112 is 80 watts . _________________ Dick Lotspeich |

When I had a Nashville 112 I hooked up a 15 inch black widow to it and it sounded like my Nashville 400 to me. _________________ Record & Tape Restoration Specialist |
