With great sadness I report that a dear friend of mine and a beautiful woman inside and out has passed away from cancer.
Paula "Mitchell" Michaud was the wife of legendary guitarist Pete "Mitchell" Michaud, who played for years with Ernest Tubb, Ray Price, Alvin Crow, and others in both his native Canada, Nashville, Dallas, and Austin. Pete passed away a few short years ago.
Paula was also sister-in-law to Jimmy Day, who was last married to Paula's sister Marilyn. She was a fixture at any of Pete's gigs around town, and a wonderful part of the Austin music community. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

So sad to hear this. Paula was a wonderful girl I've known since her and Pete Michaud got together. Those two were made for each other. I'll sure her on Facebook. |

So sad to hear this. She was a wonderful person. She helped Pete haul his amp and guitar in and out at every gig I worked with Pete. A brighter light cannot be found. Her and Pete are together once more. _________________ Just north of the Weird place, south of Georgetown |
