Very Happy Cool Has everyone seen the current issue of Vintage Guitar magazine? Check out the interview with Bobby Ingano.
I have just received a copy from Bobby. I used to subscribe to Guitar Player, Vintage Guitar and Goldmine but when they cut down on articles on steel guitars and interviews with steel players,-I canceled my subs.
Bobby's interview tells the 100% true story of his true feelings and his purpose of playing music. If you can find it on the news stands,-buy it. Or go to Vintage Guitar's website and order a copy.

Very nicely stated Wally! Bobby is SO talented, and
has the patience of a saint!

We recorded a 3 hour interview while my family was in Hawaii in October 2017.
It took WAY too long for me to transcribe the audio recording- like almost a year to the day- but it has just run in the AUG 2019 issue of VG.

I just obtained permission to post the interview. No offense to you in any way- but I am going to start a second thread with Bobby's name in the title, so that it might attract more attention from the forum members.

Thank you for getting the topic off to an honest and caring start!

Barney

Very Happy Thanks for the note, Barney. Looking forward to your upcoming thread. We do care very much for Bobby.
Several years ago when we were in Winchester IN at the convention where Bobby was a guest,-he misread his flight schedule,-and missed his flight. My wife and I brought him back to Joliet IL where he stayed with us that night until the next day when we took him to O'hare to catch the flight to HI. He spent part of the night entertaining us by playing my steels.
Since that time,-he has always called me "Pops". And I have/will treasure that name/title forever. Not only myself but I can tell you,-Bobby respects everyone.
