HI Paul...do you mean Watch What Happens by Michel Legrand? Or the one from Newsies?.. I can’t pull up your tube example...Larry _________________ Excel steels & Peavey amps,Old Chevys & Motorcycles & Women on the Trashy Side |

The LeGrand thing? I've never tried it on E9th, but it should be easily doable since it's mostly just minor sevenths and sixth chords.
The one by the Newsies with the same title...I can't think of anyone who'd want to learn that.
(Okay, okay...maybe Alvin and the Chipmunks.)[/i] |

The A section lays out pretty nicely in one position. I think Buddy's version is in Eb.
So, first phrase climb up to fret 6 on the 8th string. Lower string 8 for the second chord. Then string 9...
The melody is all there on strings 5,6,7,8. The descending motion of the lower voice outlines a I,II7, V. You can get that last altered chord punch of the A section on strings 9,6,5 with a half A pedal press.
The "Buddies" version is here, at 19 mins
