I’ve been unsuccessful in finding Dunlop clear thumb picks in XL size. Any ideas? Thanks

Just a thought but have you ever tried Fred Kelly speed picks? I started using them years ago when I could never find the wider blade picks and found I really liked them over the others.

Dunlop clear XL, looks like you could call around to big retailers Elderly, GC, Sam Ash, Sweetwater they might be able to locate some, or they'll show up on ebay sooner or later. Top retailers: https://www.musictrades.com/top200.html

FKelly speed picks are good picks except you can't put them in boiling water to expand the finger band (they're Delrin). So you can drill a few small holes at the sharp bend in the band to make them a little less tight fitting, I just saw that in one of the forums, maybe the banjo one

Don't see any clear thumbpicks anywhere online in XL size, Fred Kelly included. Dunlop D only up to Large appear to be nearly the same as the old Dobro brand clear picks.

XL are available in Dunlop shell, possibly other colors.

Concerning FK Slick picks, I believe they offer a polycarbonate model as well as the delrin.

The Delrin might be more comfortable, but for that crisp snap polycarb or very hard compound is the one you want. I think they grip the thumb better as well.

Good luck finding a clear XL pick.
