Hello all,
As I probably won’t be able to find a Pod XT or x3 loaded with Tommy Dodd’s settings and he no longer offers them anymore, is there any way someone could help me should I find one of these units elsewhere?
Thanks in advance,

I can answer any questions about programming the Line6 Pod XT. I've been using mine for a long time. I don't know Tommy Dodd's patches, but the unit has room for 99 patches and I never need more than 4 for a gig.
Generally, I match a set of patches to a particular guitar/amp combination, and I also have some "direct out" patches for recording without an amp. The "Rice and Bean" album was recorded with a Sierra Laptop steel and the Pod XT direct into the board.

I think forum member Jack Stoner also has some good Pod XT patches. _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

David Spires used his for a good while. He shared his patch on the forum. Do a search and you will find some other users too. I use one and basically just tweak the different types until I get a good sound then name and save it. Bob is more likely to be a big help. |

I use a POD X3. I've got the Tommy Dodd programs loaded but don't use them. My POD X3 "Tones" (What Line 6 calls them) are just effects only, no amp modeling. My basic is a digital delay/spring reverb that I use. I also have a Chorus, Leslie sim, Phase and a Tremolo.
Both the POD XT and X3 can use the same "Tones".
If you want any of them, e-mail me. I can send the files and they can be loaded with the free Line 6 "gearbox" program. |
