I have a BMI and a Peavey Session 500 -- was looking for some recommendations for settings -- especially as the equipment is located in a small room --

If you wanna enlarge your room, dime that Session 500. It's fully capable of blowing the walls down. |

I work in a small room so I know what it's like. It's best if you can set your tone controls flat to begin with so that nothing jumps out at you. I can do that because my preamp is a bit like a hifi amp - the knobs are inactive in their centre positions.
Most guitar amps are not like that, and I don't whether you can achieve it on the Peavey. But it's a good starting point if you can. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

Search this Forum for settings as there have been many recommendations since its inception back in 1980. |

My recommendations on a Session 500. Get a hand cart to move it or find a good chiropractor!!!!!! I had one years ago. Sounded great but it was heavy. Had a great Phase Shifter. The settings are pretty well the same on the Peaveys. Almost the same as a NV 112. 80% on the Low settings for sure. Pyramid 12:00 Highs and Presence 11:00 or 12:00. |

I used to have a Session 500.
The settings I used are:
Low +9 Mid -3 and Shift 800Hz
High and Presence 0 to +1
Ii used these settings with a D-10 Emmons and later with my D-10 Franklin.
FWIW, I used the same settings with a (factory modded) Nashville 400, and now with a Nashville 112. |
