Can anyone tell me if this Amp is worth 500 dollars. I am looking for a nice sounding Amp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again

They go new for over $2500, I believe. I've not heard anyone who bought one who disliked it. But, ultimately, it depends on your personal tastes. If you love tube amps, you may not like it. But I will tell you this - if you decide to not buy it, kindly contact me via forum Email or PM with details and I will buy it if it's all in working order! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental! |

Greg, you're referring to the TC G2 processor. I have the Lexicon option in my rack system and it sounds fine to me. But then what works is very personal and depends on many things.... _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!

I agree with Greg. The amp sounds quite a bit better without the processor. I was amazed at how much mire open it sounded with the Lexicon removed and a wet reverb and Wampler Faux delay in front of it. I’m now using a Benado Steel Dream which is better yet. |

I can only speak for the Lexicon, but it's important to run it fully wet, otherwise the latency in its direct component will interfere with the direct signal through the preamp, causing a blurring of the sound.
I'm not sure that all users are aware of this. It's a shame to throw it away just because it's not set up right. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
