Just finished another aluminum Weissenborn Lap Steel, 22 1/2" scale, tuned C6: C-E-G-A-C-E
Handles the C6 tuning just fine.
Aluminum fingerboard painted white, under saddle passive Piezo pickup. Weighs 5lbs 10oz.
Here is a short sound clip:

sounds nicer than I had imagined! (I'm not a wood body weissenborn fan). Thanks for posting the sound clip. Very cool. Nice work. _________________ Steve Marinak |

These are so cool. The sustain is incredible. Will they be available for purchase? |

Nice work, Wayne. It is an interesting concept. The sustain is excellent. If anything, I miss the lower string tones. It leaves me wondering what a long scale, 8 string instrument would sound like. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

I made a 25" scale aluminum Weissenborn, tuned open G (G-B-D-G-B-D). Here is a sound clip of it, just simple arpegios.
