My recently acquired u14 has splits in the tuner cam/ fingers where the string locking screws go in. Any advice on where I may be able to purchase some? I notice the newer ones are redesigned maybe because of this problem! See pic and video of newly set up guitar:

Alan, surely that pic is the tuner, not the changer?

Two sources of Sierra parts are Jim Palanscar at Steel Guitars of North County, and possibly the new Sierra Company may be able to locate some older model parts like that.
I would replace them with Session Series parts if possible.
I count 9 metal-fatigue split parts. I have never seen this happen before.
A machinist could fabricate that part, but I would go with the Session Series style, which simply locks the string down with one wrap around the screw.
This style requiring pulling the string through a hole, the up, back, and around the screw, was discontinued.

Check your email Alan, I just sent you some more info. I'm always happy to help in anyway I can, but I've got no older Sierra parts here, Jim P. is the only show in town when it comes to older Sierra parts.

Keep in mind, none of that stuff has been in production for many years so supplies are extremely limited.

I spoke with long time Sierra assembly ace, Tom Baker about this and he'd seen this kind of cracking before. Apparantly that early tuner system did not work out very well and was phased out pretty quickly...so spare parts are pretty much
un-obtanium.
