From the workshop that made weissenborns for David Lindley, Henry Kaiser and Lloyd Thayer among many other musicians comes this finely grained Tasmanian Blackwood rope bound weissenborn for sale at the Music Emporium in Boston.

And there's a brief vid you can watch filmed in the Burgin Guitars workshop.

I had a question about string gauges. From the bass on these guitars it's usually 54 42 32 25 16 16 so it's really a set of light gauge strings with an extra 16 on top. We like them that way so the top can resonate properly and not be "too tight".

I spent some time with Paddy years ago when he was exhibiting at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival, and can vouch for the incredible quality of his instruments - absolutely first-rate. I'm an original-Weissenborn snob, and would happily own and play one of his. They're truly incredible.

Great guy too!
