I spotted this on eBay. Someone is selling a C&W fan magazine from 1955. The seller posted this page, Jerry at a recording session. Kind of interesting.

Very cool! That is Jerry with his Trotmore. Great glimpse into his life during his heyday.

Ah... a Trotmore. I was trying to figure out what kind of lap steel that is.

I just did a search on Trotmore and found a site showing the same magazine page I posted here! The site says that most of these guitars were 7-strings but a few 8-strings were made. Jerry's looks like 7 strings...?

One sold on ebay, which I suppose could be the very one in those pictures. It's serial number 001JB. A seven string with what looks like a Rick horseshoe in it.

Seven, count 'em, seven.

At one time, youtube had videos of JB playing the Trotmore behind Eddie Hill on "Bring It On Down To My House" and behind Goldie Hill and Justin Tubb on "I Miss You So".

Pretty sure that's Harold Bradley on the electric guitar in Doug's pix.
