Jimmie nice Great looking guitar to be 66 years old it looks like it hasn't been played much. Look how clean the bottom of the tuning pans are. If some one ever wanted a Clean near mint Quad for its age here it is good luck

Jimmie,
It appears to be a very early model, there isn't any flare to the legs, nice! Very Happy

Nice catch, Erv. That date is indeed early. It would have had a finish though. Blonde or Walnut stain. FWIW.

1953 was the first year for the 4 neck string master and if you do a little research. They came in a blue-red- blond- mahongy color. who ever buys this will be getting a first year Quad

Most 10 string pedal steels made today weigh about 50 Lbs in the case.
That is why I build them as lite as I can. 10 string in case as lite as 36 Lbs. Save A Back.

Must sound killer , extra long scale. To my eye it looks refinished , with so much grain showing through and missing the decal on the front . Still a rare bird , can't be too many out there.
