I'm thinking about taking the plunge on one of these. It's been awhile since I've seen any commentary. My guess is no news is good news.
But I'm wondering if ya'll would chime in with your general experiences - happy with the purchase? Great passive pedal? Any unexpected issues? |

Extremely well built, great design- a no brainer for a backup vp- tiny and travels well. I keep mine in my seat just in case- takes a second to get accustomed to when you're used to the bigger ones, but just a second. |

What Asa's said. I've got a perfectly well-working old Goodrich so the Moyo serves as a backup. So small that it is a non-issue to carry in my accessory case. I am 100% confident (from testing it) that if I had to grab it and plug it in, getting the feel for playing it would be a non-issue. |

I am just returning from a fly date and I needed to minimize my size and weight. I brought the Moyo, and while it it not exactly light, it is small.
Before I left, I lined up a bunch of passive volume pedals to compare.
The L120 Goodrich with the Bradshaw 500k is still my favorite.
The old Ernie Balls sound almost as good, and have nice taper.
The original Sho Bud still sounds nice.
The Moyo is close to these...my ear says that it has slightly less lows. Nice and bright.
All these pedal are sound within 10% of each other.
The Moyo size and weight are a wonderful thing.
That it sounds this close to my favorite pedal....highly recommend.
There are other small pedals on the market now, I have not tried them myself, but heard good reviews from users. In particular one called the Aero.

It is my go to pedal most of the time. Smooth throw and nice taper for me. I got used to it’s size quickly. I have a Deckley Low Boy, which is a very very close second, a couple of Goodrich passives which are scratchy so I don’t use them out, and an old Sho~bud which is fine but since it’s so bulky I pick the Moyo. _________________ KEVIN MAUL: Airline, Beard, Clinesmith, Donner, Evans, Excel, Fender, Fluger, Gibson, Hilton, Ibanez, Justice, K+K, Live Strings, MOYO, National, Oahu, Peterson, Quilter, Rickenbacher, Sho~Bud, Supro, TC, Ultimate, VHT, Williams, X-otic, Yamaha, ZKing. |

The Moyo pedal is amazing. I use it for fly dates regularly. Well made and sounds just like a pot pedal. I mostly use a Goodrich L120 but have found the Moyo sounds the same and adjusting to its very compact size is not an issue. _________________ Bob |

Thanks, folks. That's what I needed to hear. I'm most interested in the lower profile aspect. I'm always late for the Dekley pedals when they come up (I need to get up earlier these days, LOL). The Moyos must be somewhere between a Hilton height and a Dekley height. |

I don't know the Dekley but this here is a standard 120. That's about 7/8" difference.

Its perfect size for my dual function pedalboard for guitar. I don't have the super pot but the hotpot has been super reliable and sounds fine. The tuner out on the moyo is nice feature. My goodrich and telonics are too big for my pedal board and I was very hesitant for the switch from those great pedals but the lil moyo is a winner for me for my purposes. |
