Get you a Mod replacement tank. They work better than the original OEM. They are inexpensive as well.

Pull the tank out of the bag and turn it over and look to see if any springs are broken. Let me see if I can find the part number. It's very easy to remove the tank .

This is where an ohm-meter would help... you can check the two connections, one should be low ohms (like 10 to 100), that's the input... the other should be higher, on the order of several hundred ohms, that's the output.

Either one open circuit, your tank is bad.

Think of a reverb tank as a speaker connected to a microphone by a spring... basically what you got there.

It would appear the output side of the tank is open. Check to see if a wire is broken or disconnected at the Output RCA female connection on the tank. If not the tank needs to be replaced

The reverb return circuit of the amp is working as you got a noise when touching the cable

Ken Fox may know what the problem is. I forgot which chip Is for the reverb. I have a 3 spring Mod brand tank I could send to try out.
