After rearranging my set up at home I kept getting weird reverb with my 112 , today I pulled the tank and this is what I found ! I see the problem but being totally incompetent with amps, hz,ohms etc, what do I do ? Replace the reverb, is it repairable, what should I replace it with ? I'd appreciate the advice.

Reverbs are too inexpensive to have repaired.
If you are not handy with electronics, I suggest just replacing the reverb.
There are many aftermarket units available or you can order a replacement direct from Peavey Parts.

| #2 vote to replace it with a Mod reverb. I had two 112's and replaced both with the Mod. This was a few years ago and I think they were about $20.00 from Antique Audio Supply. There was a thread on this a couple years ago, maybe by Tommy White. There should be plenty of guys on the forum that will know the model number. It was a very popular change at one time. If it were me, I would get a Wet Reverb stomp pedal and forget about the amp reverb. |

I just called Mike Brown at home.
This is just a rumor and no one knows how it got started.
But it is untrue.
Mike is still gainfully and happilly employed by Peavey Electronics Corp.

The MOD tank mentioned above is a great choice. I replaced the original reverb in my NV-112 and several other amps with the MOD tanks. The quality of the sound is much better and they're not expensive at all. Easy to swap out too. You also get a choice of short, medium or long decay versions. I chose the medium-decay models and have been very pleased as I consider the MOD tank to be a great and inexpensive upgrade.
