Several shows back I went back to a 50 watt tube amp from the DV Micro 50 . But I didn't stop thinking about it as I really like this amp. More so for Steel than guitar, but it is very do'able for guitar, as anal as I am.

I built a cab for this Emmi 15", model 1518, that I bought. Its a 150 watt speaker so I am expecting it to fit nicely on my small bi-monthly gig. The speaker is a bit bright and the amp can also be bright but has a great depth on the bottom as well. As previously stated many times, the DV 50 has plenty of clean guts for a so called 50 watt amp, way more than expected. The EQ profile of the DV 50 has tons of flexibility.

3/4 ply, a big hole, some tolex and here we go.

Today, the pair comes out for my bi-monthly Thursday gig.

Emmons Steel ,a Tele, the DV and a 15, here we go again !

Well that's a good looking rig. I'm jealous of it and haven't heard it. Be sure to let us know how it works out.

Cruising the posts and seems Tony you look for easy grab and go stuff, I totally understand that, I'm doing a gig this evening that fit's that exactly and you can't believe how good this little speaker is and is as convenient as you could ever get.. I've used it for several gigs that require quick easier set ups.. blows me away how good this sounds for such a little box

https://www.bose.com/en_us/products/speakers/portable_pa_speakers/s1_pro_system.html

two inputs, reverb, and battery powered for 11hrs, now I'm not sure how a Tele would sound thru it but I couldn't believe how good my old Emmons sound for a box that weighs 15lBs..anyways forgive me if I've interrupted.. but this thing is really outside the box that I bet most here would ever consider.

Ha George , it's not so much about grab and go but rather what do I grab this week !

I use several amps, I like them all, I guess this us just a lesson in "lets see what happens". My specific requirement is Tele and Steel, my footprint on this gig is smaller rather than bigger, the room doesn't require a Dual Showman. Simplicity is more of the key for me.

I experiment with different set-ups often. I purchased the DV last summer, I like it a lot, I bought the Emmi 15 a few months back so that got me to thinking about the DV again with the 15 cab. The DV is actually my back-up amp for all gigs. I still prefer a combo, all in one, less to carry in less to carry out !

Actually the DV with the 15 sounds exactly the same as the DV with a 12 !

The DV 50 and the Emmi 1518 speaker , kinda ok.

Heres a clip thats only half bad from last night Rolling Eyes

NO, its still closed to the general public each day, unless I decide to open it before lunch for about 20 min. I only open it if I need the $5 admission charge for lunch at Chic-Filet
