| Need help with the manufacturers name of a 1/2 rack sized digital bass amp. A few steel players were using them and it was a topic on the forum. |

The Trace Elliot Elf is great 200W about 1 1/2 lbs. and sounds great.

Barry, glad to see that the elf is working for you. I am going to try one as soon as I can come up with the money.
Like you, I use the Wet Reverb and the DD-3. I made my Black Box a pedal board by getting some one and half inch sticky back industrial Velcro at Lowes and mounting the pedals to the top of it. Works great.I use single coil pickups, so I also have a Hum DeBugger mounted for those rare venues where I might have a hum issue. |

I love this setup for a light weight and great power. The Elf can be a little hard to get a good setting on the Highs but the black box with it sounds great.
Its funny my Black Box is heaver than the Elf, DD-3, Wet reverb and the rack there on.

Here is my set-up with my Wet Reverb, DD-3 Delay, and Hum De-bugger mounted to my Black Box with the Lowe's industrial 1 1/2" sticky back velcro. I bought the Hum De-bugger to carry in my kit for those very rare occasions I might have a hum issue with my single coil pickups. I liked the dead silence and no circuit noise so much, I decided to use it full time. It was a bit big to fit on the Black Box, but the industrial Velcro holds it quiet firmly. The overhang is over the ac plug, so nothing is in the way of the variable Z control or inputs.
ps: The knob setting on the right knob of the Wet Reverb got moved. I normally set it around 2 o'clock.

Mike Brown, is the new Peavey MiniMax bass amp good sounding with pedal steel? I've been tempted lately to try the Carvin BX-500 or a variant, but am put off by getting a used product that has little or no manufacturer support. Is the EQ of MiniMax better at sound=shaping than the Elf?
