And let us not forget in the early days Forrest Culpepper (R.I.P.) played with Moe for a good while. _________________ Tommy Detamore

I don't recall a steel player named Robert, but maybe. I sort of lost track after I left in 1989 and Moe relocated to Branson.
Phil Koontz (R.I.P.) played with Moe for a good while in Branson. I also saw Steve Matlock playing with Moe in Texas a few years ago. _________________ Tommy Detamore

I believe he used Weldon Myrick on some of the records. Not sure about who travelled with him. |

If all his players were as good as the two Tommy's
he had excellent choice of steelers. JMHO

Man, I love the steel on those old Moe Bandy records! I'm sure most all of it was Weldon. On most songs, I honestly can't tell which neck he's playing. It doesn't have that signature E9 or C6 sound--it just sounds like MOE BANDY. |
