This guitar is in outstanding condition and plays and sounds like a Sho-bud should. Lloyd Green and JayDee Maness both autographed the underside last year at the Dallas Show. Model 6150, Serial # 13632, Built 9/8/78.
Green wood stain and wood inlay are virtually perfect and unfaded in the slightest. The wood underneath (maple?) looks brand new. It comes with the original hard shell case in great condition, Certificate of Authenticity from Sho-bud, and vinyl leg and pedal rod bag. I also have an extra Sho-bud fret board with the red and white fret markers which you can have with the guitar, if you prefer that look over the black and silver currently on there.
I bought it from the son of the original owner 2 years ago. At the time one of the knee levers was broken, it was the old pot metal, and I replaced it with a new better lever, and I think all the other ones were already replaced (but I don't know for sure). The only blemish is that the previous owner thought it would be a great idea to take his little metal engraver and put his driver's license number on the pedal bar and on a spot on the aluminum body. I had it all buffed out, but you can still barely see it in one spot if you really try (see pictures).
E's on the left but I can put it back to standard Sho-bud set up if you want, it's very easy to make changes on this guitar.
It's very light and easy to carry in the case, if you noticed last year at the Dallas show Lloyd Green carried his own LDG around with him. I think he's 80 years old or so (though he really doesn't look it). What a great guy, he was happy to autograph it for me and let me get some pictures of him with me.
Price dropped to $2,150.
