I’m curious what year my MSA was made. How do I figure it out?

The serial number is 1C 5401. Does that help?

I don't have my book handy right now, but I'd guess it was made sometime in late 1976.

Kyle Bennett told me my MSA D10 Classic, 2C5069, was made March 1, 1976.

They must have been cranking them out that year. Mine is 1C3726 born 11/5/74 : 805 units later (if they are sequential).

I'm going to list mine for sale soon here by-the-way. Built by Bud Carter, shipped to Chicago Musical Instruments on 11/5/74. I have to get some photos taken.

Definitely... averaging 500-1000 per year over 10 years. I doubt you'll ever see any company do that again. Oh Well

(Kinda like what Henry Ford did with the Model T.)
