This is my Sho-Bud's Universal tuning, more knee work than feet. The normal "C" pedal is incoperated with Left knee right, so most straight E/9th is just using pedals 1,2, and LKR. E raises and lowers are on the right knee. The "Boo-Waa" is got by pedals 1 and 2 and using the Vertical at the same time, and moving just one fret down from an open tuning. Believe me it's all on here.Augmented 13th's the lot. My other Universal steel, a Carter, has more or less the same as Jeff Newman's with just a few modifications. I get the missing "D" on string 8 ...E to D There you go Frank Parish,4 pedals and 7 knees. Just another route of a Universal. The "Bud" was an extended E/9th when I got her,3 and 5 and when my pal Duane Apland came up with this tuning, there were less parts for another friend to make.

Merry Christmas to all

Micky Byrne, England.

Ricky many many thanks, How the hell did you do that?? probably simple if you know how. Anyway people can now see the Copedent on my old "Bud" ... I'm not sure but when it's rebuilt whether to have a new undercarriage made by David Langdon, so it's similar to the Carter copedant. I had to "think" when I used one guitar for several gigs then change guitars. Ricky you have a good Christmas, and once again thanks for putting my tuning on here.

Micky Byrne...chasing around England.
