John,I have a little momentary on a couple of my six string guitars,One on a Strat and one on my Tele,Years ago I read about Eddie Van Halen having a monetary from a Centipede game on his guitar,Very cool to use after a big fuzz chord!

I don't think I ever heard that effect on a Speedy West record - lots of bar slams and bar chatter sounds but never heard on/off effect (not the same sound at all).
If anyone could point to an example of Speedy using a stutter button I'd be interested to hear it. |

I think the stutter switch is a way to emulate his bar slams without developing tendonitis! |

I may be wrong about Speedy. Just thought I remembered him doing that effect. I'll go sit in the corner wearing my Dunce cap now. 
I would think you could velcro this gizmo to the changer endplate and activate it with your right hand, no?

The stutter effect mimics Speedy's rapid fire, skittering bar slams. I've never heard of him using a stutter button.
I wish they made a doo-wah button, like they have on some of the Gibson consoles. Much more fun. I am trying to find a recording of the doo-wah button but can't remember one. Anyone? |
