I hope you enjoy this full show of my late friend, Herby Wallace.
I can always remember Herby coming up to me when I would finish playing and say "Well that was about average". From Herby, that was a high compliment.

The band here is:
Bobby Caldwell - Guitar
Hoot Hester - Fiddle
Jimmy Queen - Drums
Ric Boyer - Bass
Leonard T Zinn - Rhythm
Roy Rosetta - Piano

Bill thank you for this. Herby was my hero and idol in the steel guitar world. I bought my first new D10 Mullen from Herby in 94. I stayed in his cabin in sieverville while attending the Knoxville steel shows. A great friend and monster player.

Thanks Bill, this was fantastic. His version of " You still got a place in my heart" at 16 minutes in is really something.

I loved to hear Herby play steel. You never left disappointed when he was through.

Thanks also for the great videos, Herby is one of my favorites, He was a staple at the PSGA shows in Norwalk for years, he loved to play there since he could do lots of Jazz stuff that he knew everyone would like, what z nice and gracious man he was.

Keep these vids coming, Thanks!

Herby always played with such gusto, you just couldn't stop your foot tapping on the faster stuff.
Thanks again Bill for posting what has become steel guitar history on here.
