I think most steel players are aware of the 1969 recording Charley Pride In Person because of the tremendous steel playing of Lloyd Green. I found an album from 1971 called Just Plain Charley but there are no liner notes to say who is playing pedal steel on the album. I've looked online to no avail. Can anyone out there tell me who the steel player is on Just Plain Charley?

Thank you in advance to all my steel playing brothers and friends who always, without fail, answer all my questions. Let me know what I can do to help.

Hi Bradshaw,

Ricky is one of the leading experts when it comes to Mr. Green! Smile Cool Smile

Also, you may want to check out the listing of "Who I Who" on record that I have put together:

http://www.lloydgreentribute.com/AustrianSteelguitar/InfoNews.htm

It contains extensive song listing and also a list of albums with the players on the albums. Many of the song titles are linked to YouTube audio files so you can listen to the song. Some of the links though may be dead because the YT file has disappeared...

This site is a little hard to find at the moment due to some domain and provider issues so you may want to bookmark in order to find it again.

Kind Regards, Walter
