I have a chance buying an LTD with a Peavey JBL in it and was wondering what settings you guys are using for it? Had one before but it’s been 40 years or so since I had it.

Hey John, I have tried almost every conceivable combination on my LTD and believe it or not to my ears the tone settings which give me the best overall tone are: Presence -0-, Treble -0-, Middle -2-, Shift -6.5-, Bass -9.5-

Now you may need to keep in mind that I am using an active pedal (Hilton) and also a Li'l Izzy and warming up the signal a bit with a Black Box. My signal chain is: Steel (Emmons LLII)/Li'l Izzy/Black Box/Hilton Volume Pedal/Effects pedals <multiple>, then Peavey LTD. This seems to work great for me; your taste naturally may be different.

Hope this helps you in some way. Roger

Smile

Thanks , guys. It’s been a while since I had one and needed some settings to remind me. Now all I need is a gig to try it out. Damn Lent season!

John, As you know all this is based on the pickup you are using. I like single coils at about 18,000 ohms. I love LTD 400 Amps. V3-P2-T2-M1-S5-B7-R4-S4. This is for E-9th and BW Speaker and rooms will change it some. In bigger rooms bring up the Volume.
