Would like to see your Schild pedal steel. I’m drooling from looking at there web site.

I guess there's propably one or two around in the US, so they're rather hard to find
there's frequently interest for these guitars in the US but Peter Schild is a quiet guy who doesn't make much fuss around his product.
I really wish he could present them at Dallas, but I doubt he'll do that. |

While in Europe for a bicycle show, I met Peter Schild in the late 80's when (like me) he was building custom bicycle frames. If I recall correctly he was living in Bern then.
He's an interesting and talented guy, very serious about his craft(s). If you have any interest in a Schild, now's the time to order one. The Swiss franc is very low right now so his steels are a great deal in American bucks. I've never seen or played around with one, but I've no doubt they are stellar instruments. |

you're right, he's located in the Berner Oberland, thats a mountain region south of Bern.

Every pic you see of Switzerland looks like this. Helluva lot nicer than Florida, but just TOO cold!

he actually made special stuff for the armaments industry....
he uses water cut technology to produce some of the metal parts... |
