R & B Singer/Songwriter James Ingram has died at 66. I've always enjoyed his work... The songs he's written and the songs he's performed. He had a great sense of melody, and a soulful voice. He will be missed.

Godspeed James.

Too soon brother!

At a period when music was mutating into punk, your songs and style of delivery helped tether the music industry and gave it some much needed grounding.

My wife and I are sad as James was in our lives with his music as is James' "better half" Patti whom my wife, as a mainstay for backup-vocal duties whenever Patti was out this way, local production was cautioned to not mention James around Patti as she knew James was not well.

Patti Austin was here last December 2018 for another of her many Manila concerts.

James made four visits to Manila since 1991-2015 and could surely have made many more as far as audience desire was concerned for him and his many memorable hit songs that fueled the music industry.
