I hope the pictures come through. Picture 1 is top down view of a 2U rack with a 4 effect pedal setup that doesn’t interfere with the knobs. Pic 2 is where I will hard mount (3) 1/4” jacks. 2 for inputs and one output. These will Be hardwired(walls of the case) to the inputs/outputs of the black box and sneak up from the back. Pic 3 is where I’ll have xlr and 1/4” out put and either ICE or regular 3 prong power all recessed(plug in one extension chord and power up the whole rack) The top lid allows for enough space for the pedals to live there. The idea is a preampand and pedal section that is accessible and you can go direct to a pa or to your powered speaker with minimal effort.. Appreciate any thoughts and I’m happy to build this for anyone interested(for a price:-)) I’ve done the measurements and with a 3U rack I can mount all the pedals perpendicular to the rack just below it. It’ll be a slick set up but I’m just experimenting with the 2U I already have. Also can modify this for any preamp setup.

Yeah!!!! I’ve been scheming to make a very similar setup. Have you considered a spot to store the volume pedal all hooked up?

I’m only seeing one picture here. I’d love to see more!

I have definitely spent way too much time thinking about how to get the volume pedal in there. I think I’m just going to put it in my seat or my backpack. This isn’t wired yet so I’ll post finished pictures when it’s done in a week or so.

Brad has a rack that fits both now. It’s listed at the bottom of the cart/shopping page on his website.
