I recently acquired a Super Twin working but cabinet is rough. The 6L6s are new but don't know about the other tubes. Speakers have square magnets.
Would it fit in a standard Twin Reverb cabinet?
Was able to find a schematic for it. Does anyone have a layout diagram? Or does one even exist.
My intent is to get it cleaned up nice, repair or replace the cabinet and offer it for sale.
Please PM me with info.
Thanks,
David |

Be aware there are two - the Super Twin, and the Super Twin Reverb. Both use the same cabinet as the regular Twin Reverb amp. To my knowledge, there is no layout diagram available (at least, from Fender). Your speakers may be replacements, as all the ones I've seen (including my own) featured round magnets.
IMHO, these are fabulous amps, but the selling prices are usually fairly low, in the $500-$700 range. That's primarily because straight guitar players like distortion, and these amps do not distort when pushed. They do have a distortion circuit, accessible by the footswitch, but it's not a very good one, as most will tell you. |

I bought a new(non-reverb) Super Twin the summer of '76.The speakers had square magnets.Cool amp and louder than The Last Trump, but at 95 lbs it was a workout to carry around! |
