Hey folks,
If anyone out there is looking for something interesting to listen to, check out Cocaine and Rhinestones, a podcast about the history of country music in the 20th century. I'm relatively new to the world of pedal steel, but thought this might interest a few of you.
There's an episode entirely dedicated to Ralph Mooney, but what originally got me into this was the Louvin Brothers and Buck Owens / Don Rich episodes.
Anyhoo, it's done by Tyler Mahan Coe (son of David Allan Coe), and in my humble opinion is well worth a listen.

| Has anyone heard anything from R&C lately? It has been 3 years since season 1 came out with no word when season 2 will be available. The last update to their website is over a year old. I wonder if it is dead? Anyone |

He sends regular updates out to those who donate through Patreon. His research is meticulous but he is closing in on having Season 2 ready.

„Wow, C&R's first season just passed 3 million plays. Thank you to everyone who's listened. Seems a public update of some kind would be appropriate.*
I'm currently (still) writing the 2nd season. As said in the most recent Patreon update, the time it's taking to do this can be attributed to the sheer length, depth and width of the season. It's important to note that this is according to the plan. Before beginning work on Season 1, I had a pretty clear outline of how the first four seasons of the show would run. That outline, so far, is holding up throughout the process. (No, I don't want to reveal what the next two seasons are about at this time.) While I certainly did not expect it to take this long to make Season 2, this is how long it takes. I stake my entire reputation (and livelihood) on you hearing that in the work when it is completed. There's a lot that needed to be done, here, so I'm doing it.
Again, I sincerely appreciate everyone who's listened and re-listened and shared the first season. If anyone asks about the second season, just tell 'em I'm working on it.

| Been writing season two for the past three years. Good luck on that. My support on Patron ended two years ago when he said he doesn't care what people think about his release schedule. |
