As I practice for this year's SWSGA show, I thought the old standard "Deep Purple" would be fun to arrange for the Dobro and lap steel. Hope you enjoy the arrangement, and Happy New Year.

Great stuff, Chuck! I have always loved that tune. It was one of my first 45s, by Nino Tempo and April Stevens, back the year dot.

An old favorite of mine. Your version makes mine sound sick.

Chuck,

I enjoyed that, especially the dobro parts and the swing tempo. Wonder why no one else made a dobro version of this tune before you did...!

Thanks Kay and Don. I've been enjoying the Dobro, especially since I got a new mic., although the Shure 57 works fine.
