I made this steel from the back neck parts from a 1975 Sho~Bud.
An showed her too David Jackson he studied her for some time
Trying too determine why she actually gain 1 plus cent instead
of dropping a few cent. I had a pro Leo GrassL check her out yesterday he was pleasantly surprised. To make the old Sho Bud changer parts work I had to use a 3/4 inch
Maple board on top I also used 3/4 front an back on cabinet. An also cut a rabbit joint too have more glue surface an ease assembly of front an back apron an create a much stronger glue joint so useing thie rabbit joint instead of traditional but joint may solve the cabinet drop problems at least for this one steel.

Here some undercarriage shots Erv
Just your basic 3/8 inch aluminum cross axel with basic aluminum milled Bell cranks 3/32 brass pull rods, 1975 model Sho Bud changer 2 over one. The cabinet is a snug fit against End plates where the maple aprons meet the leg sockets.

The helper springs with adjustment collars is useless as tits on a boar hog when I get time I think I will take those off. Just clutter
The four small rectangular aluminum parts on back apron are the agustable knee leaver stops.

Where and how the changer-top AND the stop-plate is attached, usually determines body-drop – positive and/or negative, on any All-Pull.
Cannot see those details clearly on your photos, but I have experimented enough with these things on my own and found such detuning easy enough to control via those attachment details on my experimental constructions.
