It is a peavy 112 bandit model. 80 watts.

Well, it wouldn't be ideal because it's not really a steel amp, but it would be okay to get you started. If you already have one, or if there's a real good deal on a used one, I'd go for it. But I would not buy one new if it's going to be used for pedal steel only, as there are better choices out there for that much money.

Larry...as Donny said..the bandit might not be the best choice, because it is not specifically voiced for steel but a lot of forum members swear by them..they are cheap..lighter than a Nashville and they do have a good spring reverb or at least the older ones do..I have a Nashville400..vegas400..and Nashville112 but I can say I also have a couple Fender Sidekick models (spring reverb) that can hold their own as well, and like the bandits are light weight and inexpensive to buy..you can always start with one and keep for a backup till when you find (your amp), and always get your money back or most of it.. IMHO
