I have the Blues Cube 'Hot' which is the LOUDEST 35 watts that I have ever experienced. Light and compact, great for small venues. Did replace the stock speaker with a 'Cannabis Rex' which smoothed the highs nicely. I chose the 'Hot' due to it being the only single channel model offered (no overdrive channel to muddy up the signal path). |

This amp sounds interesting. I'm using a Roland 80xl for smaller gigs, including a few at church. I.m Having a hard time getting a preferable sound at low volumes. Too clean, or to much high end, or something that I haven't figured out yet. I'm wondering if a tube or maybe this amp would be better.
David, how long have you been using it for steel and can you share any other thoughts about it?
Thanks. |

Around 2 years give or take, mostly in small clubs or when it will be mic'd through the sound system. (I also own an '80 XL' and prefer the 'Hot' hands down!) Most Guitar Centers may have one in stock for you to try. |
